Barking Mad Comedy was officially started in June 2008 by Charles Collett (Chaz).

Chaz has worked in many sides of the entertainment industry over the last 20 years, including acting and stage management in the theatre, stage management of street festivals, playing music in bands (he plays a wicked bass), radio work and voice-overs.

In 1998 he was awarded an Arts Council Grant to run 2 comedy shows in Petersfield, Hampshire - this was the start of the hugely successful Petersfield Comedy Club which has now been running for over 10 years.

In 2002 he co-started a management company and for the next 4½ years worked as a comedy agent for some of the brightest new stars on the comedy circuit. Rufus Hound, Dougie Dunlop, Cole Parker & Dan & Steve of Electric Forecast were all part of his original stable of acts.

After a year out to regain levels of sanity, he decided he was already too far gone and returned to the comedy world and is, as barking mad as ever!
